Improved Goal Difference Boosts League Standing
Arsenal Women continued their impressive start to the Women's Super League (WSL) season with a resounding 6-0 victory over Sheffield United on Saturday, March 4th, 2024.
The Gunners dominated the match from start to finish, with goals from Beth Mead, Vivianne Miedema, Katie McCabe, Mana Iwabuchi, and a brace from Caitlin Foord. The win sees Arsenal move up to second in the WSL table, level on points with leaders Chelsea but with a superior goal difference.
Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall was delighted with his team's performance, saying: "I'm very happy with the result and the performance. We were really clinical in front of goal and we defended very well. It was a great team performance."
Arsenal will be hoping to continue their winning ways when they face Manchester City in the WSL Cup final on March 12th, 2024.
