Multiple People Bitten by Sharks in Texas and Florida
Texas Attack
Texas Game wardens confirmed two people were bitten, a third person was grazed, and a fourth man was injured fending off a shark attack in the waters off Surfside Beach, Texas, on July 4, 2024.
The victims were identified as 19-year-old Paige Winter, 40-year-old Trina Hale, 27-year-old Simeon Comer, and 23-year-old Thomas Hale. Winter and Hale were both bitten on the leg, while Comer was grazed on the back. Hale sustained injuries to his hand while trying to fight off the 9-foot shark.

The victim, who was not identified, was bitten on the leg. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and later released.
